Mahie Gill New Glamorous Looks

Actress Mahie Gill, who impressed audiences with her mature performance in "Dev D" and "Gulaal", said she will be seen in glamorous roles in her forthcoming films.

"As an act! or I want to do all kinds of roles and work in different genre of films. 'Dev D' was a fantastic appearance while 'Gulaal' did see me in a semi-glam avtar as I played a mistress-cum-mujra dancer who was a huge fan of Tabu. However, none of the films had me running around the trees, " said Mahie.

So is running around the trees and singing romantic numbers next on the anvil?

"Why not? I pretty much love conventional Bollywood cinema. And don't forget that I have worked as a heroine in Punjabi films as well. So it is not going to be anything surprisingly different for me to get into a typical heroine mode, " she said.

Mahie, who has been one of the newcomers this year, will now be seen in two more UTV productions "Aage Se Right" and "Paan Singh Tomar". So is she in some kind of contract with the production house?

"No, not at all. I don't have any kind of contract with them. They just saw the rushes of 'Dev D' and signed me on soon af! ter."

Talking about her roles in the two films, Mah! ie said: "'Aage Se Right' is a comic thriller in which I play a reporter. I would be seen in a semi-glam part though there is a song where people will get to see me in a full on glam avtar. I am paired opposite Shreyas Talpade in the film."

Directed by Indrajit Nattoji, "Aage Se Right" is set in Mumbai and spans over five days of panic, chaos and mayhem when a sub-inspector loses his gun. This triggers off a series of incidents that gets progressively complicated yet comic and, as the gun travels, it passes through the most unlikely set of characters and links them together.

"Another film of mine is 'Paan Singh Tomar' which is the true epic journey of a talented runner (Irrfan Khan) who turned into a rebel! This film has me in a non-glam role though. Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film's director, has done an excellent job with his characters in the film, " she said.

"Paan Singh Tomar" is about an athlete who gave up his running shoes, became a rebel and wrea! ked havoc in the Chambal Valley.

My Life Is In Danger - Adnan Sami Khan

After reported fights between his estranged wife Sabah and friend Pooja Bedi, Adnan Sami has now got death threats. The Bollywood singer says he has informed Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari about the calls.


"I had to," said Adnan. "He's (Gilani) an old family friend. I know him from the time he was the speaker of the Pakistan assembly. And I've informed President Asif Zardari also. They had to know about the threats because if something happens to me, they should know w! hom to point a finger at," Adnan told IANS.

Adnan, who is of Pakistani descent but born and brought up in Britain, has been living in Mumbai for quite some time.

His father Arshad Sami Khan was a Pakistani diplomat and was close to many of Pakistan's political elite.

"If I'm harmed, it would become an international issue and I don't want the wrong people to be accused," Adnan added.

Sabah suspects Pooja has a relationship with Adnan and attacked her when she visited him at his home. Pooja is said to have suffered scratches in Sabah's assault.


Both Pakistan's president and prime minister have ensured Adnan all support and cooperation.

"Not just them.

I've also approached the Indian home ministry and the highest authorities have assured me optimum cooperation. The support I've received during the time of my stress from outside and inside Bollywood is overwhelming," said Adnan.


! Speaking reluctantly about the death calls, Adnan said: "The f! irst cal l came at around 9.30 a.m. on Thursday followed by one every half hour. It was very clear in its intention.
The person on the other end warned me to lay off someone or face
the consequences. But I didn't act intimidated at all. The caller clearly named
the person on whose behalf he was calling. I was horrified and appalled beyond
words. Can anyone normal or sane stoop so low?"

Adnan immediately informed the Mumbai authorities that his life is in danger.

"They've very kindly beefed up my security. The number of security personnel around me has gone up drastically. But I'm not feeling safe any longer.

I want people to know who's to blame if something happens to me," he said.

"I feel everyone close to me is now in danger. So I've decided that they should all stay as far away as possible from the house. My mother, who was in Islamabad for her
father's funeral, is back in the house to look after my father.
But I'm
asking my entire family and friends to be nowhere near me. My mom won't travel
anywhere with me. I'd never be able to forgive myself they came to any harm.

"When my son Azaan came to know, he insisted he was coming over (from Karachi) right away. He was distraught. No chance in hell I'd leave him vulnerable to any attack. And the person getting these calls made would happily hurt my son. Azaan threatens to catch the next flight to Mumbai."

Adnan says the caller makes it clear on whose behalf the calls are being made.
"No bumper prizes for guessing who," he said. "I've told them, "Jo bhi karna hai kar lo (Do whatever you can)."

"I'm in and out of court so much now, it's become a way of life. Now with these death threats the law and the legal system are my best friends. I've begun to feel so isolated from all my friends.

"The other day I recorded a song with A.R. Rahman. Everyone was being polite ! but distant. They didn't know what to say to me until I broke ! the ice by saying, 'Sorry I'm half an hour late, guys. I was just dealing with a troublesome wife in court.

They burst out laughing."

Adnan's lawyers now have a written a document from him which would be opened in case he's harmed.

"I know exactly who to blame if anything happens to me. And I also know which political party in Mumbai is abetting this person," Adnan said without naming anyone.

Molested, Pinched On The Rear & Abused - Neetu Chandra

In a new twist to the Neetu Chandra photo shoot controversy, upcoming actress and model Krishika Gupta (who actually spells her name as Krrishika) has alleged that she was molested, pinched on the rear, abused and her modesty outraged during the shoot at a 5-star hotel at Juhu in suburban Mumbai.

In an official statement released on Saturday in Mumbai by her publicist Krrishika Gupta said, “I was exploited, pinched on the rear, molested and abused. While Neetu Chandra was provided with security, the organizers of the photo shoot left me to fend for myself.


I had offered to get my own assistant along, but they told me that every thing would be provided for at the venue. I was told that it was a very artistic and classy shoot for a very prestigious magazine. When I reached the venue, I realized that these were all empty promises. ”

“During the shoot, since we were shooting in bikinis in the open on Juhu beach and at a hotel adjoining the beach, some people tried to touch me and even tried to pull away the bath robe that I had put on over the bikini to cover myself.

When I complained to the organizers no action was taken. The organizers were very busy ensuring that the shoot was completed as per their plans â€" since a crowd had collected by then - and did not pay any heed to my complaint.

I feel completely cheated by the organizers and will sue them for the indignity and insult endured by me. There was no proper security. Though the shoot was on the open beach, no police per! mission was taken nor was any police official present.”

Krrishika’s Manager and Publicist Flynn confirmed that Krrishika is contemplating filing a police complaint. “Some persons from the crowd tried to pull her bath robe and also tried to touch her improperly and paw her.

One of them pinched her on the rear. They showered her with some of the choicest abuses in vernacular languages and made vulgar and abusive signs and gestures at her.

Krrishika will file an official police complaint on Monday, after consulting her family and lawyers, ” said Flynn Remedios, adding that Krrishika was uncertain about complai! ning about this earlier. She didn't want to disturb or upset her family, " he explained.

Krishika is thankful that the situation did not get out of hand. “They crowd could have done anything to me, ” she said, recounting with horror the story of two girls who were molested by an unruly crowd at Juhu on New Year’s Eve.

It was very irresponsible of the organizers and the magazine to shoot on an open beach with models in bikinis without proper security, added Krishika.
